Also looking forward to doing my usual volunteer duties, not playing doctor (I do that enough in real life), so,

Racers, as usual, get ready for heat, cold, altitude, UV rays, underbrush, poison oak, steep downhills (and uphills), blisters, thirst, etc., etc.

I was on the East side of the Sierras recently. The weather is likely to be that of the High Desert - hot during the day and cold at night. Clear skies are likely.

I can let you know that the Gold Rush organisers have got some great swag for this event.
